Great hostel on the outskirts of town (5 minute walk) that has a real 'tree house' vibe. Friendly staff and comfortable common areas including hammocks. Standard rooms and shared kitchen.

Very sweet family owns and runs this hostel. Staying in the tree house was one of the highlights of my life. So idyllic. We stayed two nights in the dorm all the way to the back and well it gets HOT HOT HOT. The one fan wasn't helping at all. The hostel felt very safe, has a small but clean kitchen, and drinking water. One of the dogs gets a little snappy but the other two are complete loves. I'd stayed here again for sure.

We had the room right at the back which has a window overlooking their junk yard/laundry area. The toilet had no working light and the shower heater didn't work. Don't touch any metal part of the shower or you'll get a small electric shock. Nice balcony with two hammocks. On the map it looks ages from the centre of town but it's the perfect distance. Their dogs can get in the way a bit and constantly bark at passers by. Not dangerous though. If you get a nicer room it may well be a four out of five for the price. They don't think to tell you when checking in but there is free drinking water in a canister in the kitchen (well, sometimes)

Perfects owners, clean place, beautiful bamboo constrution, peaceful place but close to the center, in front of the beach.

We love this place! It's very quiet and peaceful with a short pleasant walk to the fish market. We recommend the tree house room. You can hear the ocean from the room! The owners are so kind as well. We have stayed here again and again. It's always been excellent.

Prima en rustig gelegen hostel met uitzicht op de zee.
Ontbijt mag gezien de prijs wat rijker wat mij betreft. Keuken verdient wat meer aandacht. Is niet schoon. Evenals beddengoed (oud) en musquito net (vlekker van doodgeslagen muggen en ander gedierte).response / report this review -

The '' cabaña del árbol '' is amazing. Very bright with all the windows, you will ear the birds and the sea when you'll wake up. The owners are nice and even though we didn't had lunch here, we know for sure that the breakfast is really good.
