CLEAN, kind personal, they help you whatever you need. They gave us a tipical snack for free when we arrive. They have a nice pool, sauna. So many things for so few money. My family and I were impressed. For sure we will come back!

This is a nice, clean, and quite mid-range hotel. The bathroom, sheets, and towels were all spotless, and the bed was quite comfortable. We felt safe at night (gated parking, lobby was staffed 24/7, and the police academy is right across the street), and the breakfast was nice but basic. Also, the manager Edgar and the rest of the staff were super helpful.
The location is fine for people with a car, but it isn't quite close enough to walk to the main Baños center. It is quieter than staying in Baños proper, except when the police academy is running drills. Also, the wifi did not work well.response / report this review -

Nice atmosphere and big rooms with good beds. Excellent and friendly service. Breakfast is fantastic and good enough for a day full of action and adventure.

Lindo lugar para pasar en baños a penas a un par de minutos de la ciudad es perfecto para un ambiente tranquilo. Las habitaciones son excelentes y el servicio excepcional. Puede mejorar un poco en el spa.

If I could give this place more than 5 stars, I would! Let me start out by saying that Edgar runs the most beautiful little hotel outside of Banos. He is amazing. My boyfriend and I traveled to Ecuador for a surprise birthday trip for him (I'm so nice!) and Edgar made the most special impact on this trip. The door frame was covered in balloons and streamers. He brought up 3 homemade, delicious cupcakes with sparkling candles on our first evening. He was always so helpful with the taxis and our needs. The rooms are spacious, inviting, warm - exactly what one needs. We weren't in our room most of the time because Banos allows for people to do so many unique outdoor activities. While not located within Banos, it is, no exaggeration, less than a 5 minute drive to get dropped off in town and a $1.50 taxi cost. It was worth it for us because we're really not hostel-staying people. I prefer a little more security and privacy. The sweetest thing happened on our last morning in Banos. We took a ride up to Casa del Arbol in the POURING RAIN and were soaked when we came back to the hotel. Edgar and the staff kindly placed our wet clothes in the dryer and offered to serve us breakfast even though we had just missed it. It's acts of kindness like that that made us fall in love with the people of Ecuador. Banos is amazing and La Villa Del Penon is the place to stay! Thank you for being so awesome, Edgar! We really loved our stay!

Wonderful first rate service. We arrived in Baños at 5 pm and our host, Edgar, suggested a restaurant for dinner. We came straight to the hotel afterwards without calling, he was waiting to open up the garage for parking and to take our bags up to our room. We are looking forward to our 3 nights at Villa del Peñón.
