This is not just a beer pub. The food is wonderful. If you are sitting outside, it is almost like you are in Parque San Sebastian. I highly recommend it.

Great setting and good artesanal beer, but beer is an expensive pastime in Ecuador!

Not a big beer person, and still wanted to try some. Delightful! Food was fabulous! I accidentally left my credit card and a call confirmed they had it. Whew! Good people!!

Great tasting authentic Belgian style beers. My Belgian girlfriend and I had te sour and the triple along with some bitterballen and she felt like she was back in Belgium. The prices are steep for Ecuador, but it’s understandable for the quality that you receive. We will be coming back here again soon, during our 10 days in Cuenca. It blows some of the other beer bars out of the water.

Edit: went here a second to time and it re-confirmed how well prepared the food and beers are. Coming here is truly a treat which my Belgian girlfriend and I immensely enjoy.

In a city with few nice beer bar options, a choice of a few delicious frothy monastic Belgian beers was a breath of fresh air for beer nerds like us. The place is very small and gets overwhelmed a little easy, don't be surprised if it slows down when more folks show up. But it's probably the best beer spot in town.

Started with the craft beers which were pretty good (only reason why they get 1 star). However I ordered the “Meatballs in tomato sauce” dish with Fries and salad. The meatballs came back and tasted like rubber. I asked the waiter if they were cooked in the microwave and they claimed they were cooked on the stove. Then I asked if they were fresh which they also claimed to be. Being an Italian from NY, those were not fresh. They tasted like frozen meatballs nuked in the microwave. Left the plate with only one bite eaten and the waiter never apologized or asked if I wanted something else. Finally after 30 minutes I had to ask him to bring me the menu. I tried to order the asparagus with prosciutto, but of course they were out of prosciutto. Don’t know how that is when 4 of their dishes contain it. Then I realized on the menu you can order the meatballs and fries separate for a dollar less. So an extra $1 for a small dinky salad? Was extremely disappointed with the way they handled this even after serving a pretty lame excuse for meatballs in tomato sauce. I then asked for the bill and they charged me for the plate anyways. I refused to pay and the manager came over to trying to convince me that he confirmed the quality of the dish. I asked if he tried it himself and he said no so how can you confirm if you haven’t tasted it for yourself. I went to even say I’ll eat the dish with you if you sit down and have it with me. He tried explaining that it was “fresh” by saying after its frozen it’s thawed for two days. At this point my patience was gone and I was stern on not paying. He left and said he was calling the owner since it was not their policy to refund dishes. The owner showed up after 5 minutes and was a very nice man. He wanted to hear what happened and at the end of the discussion he said he wanted all his customers to be happy. Our dish was then refunded.

I would expect this from a local but not from a Belgian owned establishment.

One of the best salads I've ever had, one of the best beers I've ever had, and the most charming, most handsome waiter I've ever had. A quiet, clean square. Recommend sitting outside even if it's chilly. The staff spoke limited English - enough to order. Very courteous and friendly. Highly recommend this to anyone.

Very delicious beer. The owner, Belgian of course, is very friendly. He brews his own beer. During our visit, the place was full. This place is every week more popular. When you visit Cuenca, this is a must-visit place!!!
