Relatively clean. Good hot shower. Air conditioning. We arrived at 2am and staff wasn't very friendly.. then again it was 2am. For some reason they would not take credit cards so make sure you have cash. Breakfast was fair.

Good place to stop for lunch/dinner on the way in or out of the Cuyobuna Reserve. Safe, and secure, staff were friendly and accommodating. Few beggars in the restaurant, as in most places in Lago Agrio, but hurriedly sent away. Large portions. Various wafts of deep frying smells came out of the kitchen at times, but this could be avoided by sitting closer to the front of the restaurant. Within the context of Lago Agrio, good.

Worst experience in Ecuador!
Avoid this place.
Ecuador is actually such a great country with so many nice and friendly people. But not at D’Mario. Even though we were customers of the restaurant they wanted money for the WiFi password. Food was horrible. Cockroaches in the bathroom

Excellent service and the people that work here are very kind. There are a lot of tourists that come here from around the world because this is the best hotel in town.

Good food
I am writing this review specifically to give my opinion of food and drinks at this hotel. I particularly suggest the hotel's restaurant for having dinner. They offer an affordable "merienda" menu which contains , soup, main dish, juice and dessert for an affordable price. They also have good vegetarian options such as pasta or salads.

Located in Lago Agrio we were there to connect to a tour in the Amazon, with Cayman Lodge who was the perfect choice for us ! There are many lodges in the Cuyabeno Reserve, 13 I think, but none better than the Caiman Lodge! We are vegan and hotel D’Mario is a great stay over and has a really nice restaurant even for us vegan picky eaters! We ate there twice and would definitely return. The service there is also wonderful!

Worst breakfast and coffee I've ever tasted. Expensive too. They don't care because they have dozens of tourists a day whose lodges make them get picked up here and unknowingly eat here never to return.

Reception staff was bordeline rude and they make you pay for Wi-Fi when they clearly have a deal with transport company that drop you here for next pick up and you just bought a breakfast and drinks. Not classy
