I have been going to Puyo very often the past 3 years, and it was only about a year ago that I decided to try the Araucano Hotel. I had until then been staying in several unremarkable places, but after one night here I was sure that I had no longer to look for a new hotel room.
There are many wonderful things about this place, but I would like to start with the amazing owners and staff, always very accomodating and helpful in all possible ways. The complimentary breakfast is always good, changing every now and then, and prepared right before you eat.
The rooms are cozy and comfortable, and although very simple they are definitely worth its price (10$/night). The rooms are cleaned and the sheets are changed every day, which doesn't exactly happen everywhere else in town
I will be sure to come back whenever I'm in Ecuador again and would recommend it to everyone looking for a cheap, comfortable place in this lovely Amazonian town.response / report this review -

The owner is a really sweat person. Also helpful and understanding. You can use the open kitchen anytime you want and there's always hot water
