Fantastic hostel, great rooms, funky vibe. Owner Shaun is a great guy and so helpful. Food is excellent, a must if visiting Bahia.

I ate their American breakfast here 3 years ago and it was fantastic.. pancakes, bacon, fruit, yogurt, eggs, cooffe n fresh jiuce. 6$.. thenyeaterday, sept 7th, 2017, i went and it was terrible. i got one pancake. one piece of bacon. 2 scrambled eggs n wram juice n instant coffee. and i had to oreder the bacon extra on the side. one piece!!!! so the total was 7.75 for hardly any food. i was very disappointed. i mentioned to the waitress this was very small and i was still hungry and she shrugged her shoulders and went back to staring at her cellfone. ( I have visited Bahia 8 years there are only a few places in the whole town Hostel CocoBongo was terrible the day i visited. to blame it on fake news sounds like something donald trump would do ja ja ja ja ja ja ja)
ecuador restaurants are the worst. sorry to say that. u r better off buying a hotplate and going to the mercado.

A masterpiece of art, architecture, location seriously every little corner with its details creates some unique energy. It is shocking to see Bahia after the earthquake, and being in CoCo Bongo really makes it easier.

It was a nice place with a nice bartender! Only thing: no lockers in the shared rooms.
