Great Lunch directly on Parque Calderon.
The owner, Don Colon has a wonderful personality and operates a terrific restaurant. They have daily specials and there is indoor and outdoor seating. It is located directly next to the "new catherdral" in Parque Calderon. We had lunch here a number of times during our stay in Cuenca and the food never disappointed.

Mediocre overpriced food! The service was good. The meat was terribly chewy. They also marked up the price of the dish I ordered by one dollar at the end! So petty! I wouldn't recommend it. You can can get better food for half of the price anywhere in Cuenca.

There were 4 options for almuerzo when I dined here, which is more than many restaurants serve in the area. The grilled chicken was served with mashed potatoes and it was one of the best meals I've had while in Ecuador. There is both indoor and outdoor seating. It is close to a popular parque and the New Cathedral.

Best almuerzo choices in Cuenca. Friendly staff and food is always good. The atmosphere is very nice indoors or out if you are so inclined.

Best sea bass in Cuenca! You could go somewhere else and pay 3 times as much, but why do that to yourself? For $10 I had to come back to try all the versions. Olive oil grilled, lemon wine sauce, and spicy velacruz, my favorite. They were all full of favor, flaky, and moist. Served with bread and soup or salad. A friend ate shrimp cocktail, steak, dessert, and had a drink for around $20. Don Colon is in an excellent location between the park and flower corner. Do yourself a favor and stop in.

This place is in a good, convenient and easy to find location across from Parque Calderon. The menu is good and there are always good daily specials. The staff is always friendly and helpful. English is spoken here.

Great service and incredible location. Many items to choose from for prices that are considered normal in Ecuador. The food quality is above par and the owner is also the chef. Expect great views and great portiins. Highly recommended!

Great service! Delicious food! Staffs speaks in fluent English! The set lunch only cost 4us per head!!!
