  The best seafood in Ecuador by far! Super recommended.. If you have the chance to eat there don't doubt it for a second.. Just amazing!

  I had shrimp with garlic. It was perhaps the best prepared shrimp I have ever eaten. One block below the restaurant is the haven for many fishing boats.

  A true classic for coastal and seafood recipes in Ecuador - you could not eat fresher food here. Spoiled by choice with a classic menu of ceviche, fried calamari and shrimp. Rice with seafood and heaps of plantain chips. Service very very attentive. Nice they have a great selection of craft beers from the region, nice and cold — good coffee too for those who need to drive. Highly recommended.

  A friend from Guayaquil took me here over a weekend jaunt to Ayampe during a trip to Ecuador. I can say with little hesitation that it may be the best seafood I've ever had - fresh, generous portions, perfectly seasoned, delicious. My friend said that Delfin Magico is famous in Ecuador, and I can see why; It was among the culinary highlights of our trip. If you are a foreigner traveling in Ecuador, you may need help from a local to find this gem, as it is a little off the main road in the center of town, and will want to brush up on your Spanish (particularly terms for different types of shellfish and fish) so that you are able to order, but the proprietor was friendly and generous with us as we muddled through.
  
  Salango is a lovely, quiet, modest town - you are far removed from the modern cities of Guayaquil and Quito here - savor the authenticity and make friends with the local kids who will be delighted if you kick a ball around with them for a while after dinner.
