The Park and church are nice,the best part is the shops around the park, excellent designs of silver jewellery.Shop owners are friendly and want to make a deal .Make to bargain!!

Chordeleg is a cute little town in southern Ecuador. Decided to stop driving early and to spend the night here.

Chordeleg is well-known for its jewelry industry, especially gold and silver filigree jewelry. In fact the entire beautiful town square is surrounded by jewelry shops, which stretch into the side streets. This town must have one of the highest amount of jewelry stores per capita, considering only about 5,500 people live here. Couldn't even find a café or proper restaurant. Surprisingly no (gringo) tourists here. 🌳⛪💍

It's just a clean little park in the center of town. It is well maintained and pretty, but fairly unremarkable. The town is very pretty though.
