  Cayambe (5790 mnpm), to trzeci co do wysokości szczyt Ekwadoru i najwyższy (oraz jedyny zaśnieżony) punkt na równiku. Wspaniały wulkan i atrakcyjny cel dla bardzo! doświadczonych turystów wysokogórskich. Start ze schroniska Oleas Ruales (4600 mnpm). Średnio 6-7 godzin, by wejść na szczyt
  Sporo szczelin lodowcowych, kilka bardzo stromych miejsc w terenie lodowym. Wspaniały widok na Aleję Wulkanów, a nawet Chimborazo - najwyższy szczyt Ekwadoru oddalony o około 200 kilometrów.

  Wow. So beautiful and still so rough. After 6 hours of climbing through high winds, heavy rain, snow and fog we had to turn around without summiting.
  Still a fantastic adventure. Surroundings are just beautiful. The Refugio is one of the best and newest I have seen so far.

  Oh mighty mother nature agreed to let us through, after 8 hours of a moderated steep climbing through, with fog and icy wind in the last mile, we conquered the Cayambe Volcano top.
