My girlfriend and I arrived in Tena with the expectations that it was going to be easy to find a touristy part of town lined with tours to take you into the jungle. Tena, however is not like Baños, we wondered around for awhile looking for a 3 day tour into the jungle. We eventually found a cafe with local information for tour guides, and we found out about Caveman Adventures. Jaime, the owner, was able to set us up a great tour on very short notice. We had a great guide for the jungle who was very knowledgeable. We traveled to a secluded lodge by motor canoe up the river, where there was a very friendly staff and great people traveling the jungle. Jaime can set you up with a tour based on your needs, desires, duration of stay, and extreme level. I would high recommend going to Caveman Adventures if you are traveling to Tena.
