Actualmente esta en reparación. Pero es un bonito lugar para visitar a Jesús eucaristía y en su presencia meditar, hablar con Él. Un ambiente silencioso y agradable de mucha paz y tranquilidad. Durante la semana uno se puede acercar a confesar y recibir dirección espiritual sobre todo en la mañana.

Lugar muy bonito con arte pictórico de unos de las máximos exponentes de Ecuador, Rafael Troya.
Sus altares tallados en madera y recubiertos de pan de oro son muy hermosos al igual que sus esculturas católicas, siendo para mi la más bonita la de la Virgen del Carmen.

The Cathedral of Ibarra is centrally located with a beautiful park named after a popular poet in front of it and various government offices nearby. There are old paintings and sculptures inside as well as the obligatory Stations of the Cross. There is also a smaller chapel where you find crypts where people are buried. Be respectful! Two of those people are my mother and father, both natives of the surrounding countryside.

After visiting this cathedral, check out some of the local restaurants and appreciate the cobblestone streets. The weather is warm for the Andean highlands so you can enjoy the outdoors. If you're single, the women are actually very attractive so you may find yourself unwilling to leave.
