  Desde la ciudad de Baños se ofrecen recorridos denominados "ruta de las cascadas". Se puede hacer en "chiva" (un transporte tradicional, sin ventanas) o en bicicleta. Se pueden observar más de 8 cascadas, entre ellas la culebrilla y la esperanza. Se pasa por una piedra a la que se le denomina "rostro de Cristo", por su forma. Y luego hay la posibilidad de realizar deportes extremos en diversos complejos. Al final se llega al Pailón del Diablo, una ruta que conduce a una cascada que se puede apreciar más de cerca.

  We rented bikes from one of the shops that charges $5 a day for each mountain bike. About 30 minutes into the ride my husband had a flat tire. They had given us a tire patch but no pump. So I would recommend going to a company that charges $7 or 8 a bike. We ran into people that used one of those companies and their bikes were nicer and they had a pump we could borrow.
  
  Right before El Pailon del Diablo (the last waterfall) their is a lady named Mercedes. She is the nicest, sweetest lady that makes the most amazing empanadas. Definitely stop and buy a few from her! Also, El Pailon del Diablo is a must see. Make sure you see this waterfall. There is a charge of like a $1.50 but totally worth it.
  
  This was a great ride and I would recommend doing it. There are many zip lines along the way. Don't do them. There are better ones if you go through a company.

  En un Hostal típico de mochileros, está bien ubicado y siempre hay habitaciones disponibles. No tiene parqueadero.
