I stayed here for all up a week. It is clean and the staff are so helpful and friendly. Breakfast is provided each morning and there is a laundry one street over that is cheap and offers same day delivery (if you deliver in the morning)
Casa carpedm also run CarpeDM adventures which does tours all around the place. The owner Paul is very passionate about the business and I can guarantee you that you’ll get value for money with these tours.
The only negative I have and this is something out of casa carpedm control is there is a bit of noise that comes in from the street during the night. Just make sure you have some decent earplugs and eye mask too as the curtains don’t block out the sun too well.response / report this review -

The group at Carpedm is amazing! The rooms are clean and nice. My only warning is that the windows are a tad thin so you get quite a lot of outside noise and you can easily hear the lobby from even the third floor.

We arrived late at night, at 00:30, when we first arrived we were told to be quiet. And to speak in silent even though we weren't screaming just saying hello. The first impression was a bit bad (but also because we got stolen on the bus from baños, PLEASE BE CAREFUL WHEN YOU'RE TAKING A LATE BUS. DON'T LEAVE YOUR YOUR STUFF UNDER YOUR LEGS. DON'T SAY IT WON'T HAPPEN TO ME). So we arrived from the terminal in the south and paid 10$ (we've been told it's a fair price don't go up if it's more than that, negotiate) when we entered the room, it was very clean, the beds are tall and the mattress is comfortable, there are body towels and a small towel for the hands, soap, TV the WiFi is great, there was even two glasses of water! There are light above each bed! When we woke up to go to the police station the manager took care of us and arranged someone to help us, it was very kind. Changed our impression. The breakfast is just what you need (eggs, granola, yogurt, fruits, juice, coffee, bread, jam, water), you just have to wash your plates after thr breakfast, the view is nice! When we arrived in the afternoon the room was cleaned and it felt like an hotel. The location is not thr best in my opinion but it's not very far. It's close to parque san blas Not a place to get to know people, each one to himself This is the atmosphere in here, but it's if you're not looking to make new friends. You can hear everything that people are talking downstairs from your room

The staff is helpful and very nice. I even got sick and the owner bought for me medicine.
The rooms are good and the shower and the wifi work perfectly.
The only thing that's not good for muchilers is the atmosphere and getting to know others. It's good if you want quiet and quality.response / report this review -

We stayed here for 5 nights total during our stay in Quito. The rooms were great, the location of the hotel is awesome, about 10 min walk from central plaza and lots of restaurants in the vicinity. The free breakfast too was awesome. Paul, the owner, went out of his way to make our stay comfortable. I would highly recommend this place if you're looking for a good hotel in Central/Old Quito at a decent price.

The staff were really cool and friendly. The hostel itself is very clean looking, with spacious rooms. They offer a really breakfast option for the guest as well.
