One of my favorite places in town when I feel like taking a brake of work or just for sharing a good time with a good coffee and a delicious banana and chocolate crepe! Friendly and knowable owner expert in coffee !

For coffee probably one of the best places to go. However, note that only crepes are served to eat.

Great price and amazing delicious coffee and food. I highly recommend this place for breakfast.

Note: they only take cash but it's worth it.

The coffee here is spectacular and the hammock chairs are really comfortable. The owner, Juan, is friendly and knowledgeable about the area and the food is delicious. This place is an oasis of calm amidst the bustle of the town. Highly recommended.

This is a great place to grab a coffee anytime of day. We ordered a chocolate milk, and two mint liquor coffee drinks as well. All of them came out looking like art. The only downside to this place is they only serve crepes after breakfast time. You can get them with meat or savory vegetables but if you are not looking for crepes look elsewhere. The proprietor speaks English and Spanish if you need some help with language.

Best coffee I had while in Ecuador (between Quito, Baños, and Tena). Señor Baristo is very knowledgeable and helpful. Humored my innumerable questions in very poor Spanish. He works very hard, roasting beans in house and cleaning up after everyone. Peaceful atmosphere. Was able to relax with double espresso and flip through volcano and pájaro picture books. Thank you, Señor (ángel de café).

I regrettably had a very bad experience here. I'm a young writer residing in Baños and have an apartment in the Southern Mountain. It's a little bit of a trek to and from town, so I often use cafes (always as a paying customer) to access the internet when I'm in town. After having no problems with my first visit at this joint, I returned a few days later, and ordered the same drink: sparkling water. I'm on a strict diet and generally only drink mineral water. After ordering my favorite drink, the owner refused to serve me. Saying that he doesn't like people coming and using his internet. I told him that I was a paying, returning customer. He insisted that I leave. We did get into a verbal spar, mostly because I felt that it was outrageous and humiliating to be treated and such a manner as a perfectly pleasant, paying customer. I sense that this gentleman simply didn't like me because I'm American; he certainly had a prejudicial judgment of me to some extent. He treated me poorly, he embarrassed me, he ruined my day. That's not okay.

The cafe does have a pleasant atmosphere, that's why I chose it. If this gentleman knew who I was, I'd imagine that he wouldn't have treated me so poorly. I'd encourage caution however, he's obviously a temperamental, and possibly prejudicial. He does seem to have a lovely family however, young kids worth supporting. Give the place a shot, but be cautious.
