an airport that I love, has spaces to wait for flights, restaurants and green spaces with gardens, pools and fish, always informs about the tourist attractions of Guayaquil to its visitors, with modern facilities and free wifi.

No vegan options. Not even fruit. No fruit in the whole airport

Very well run airport. Clean. Can be crowded with tourists but check in and security and immigration move along efficiently and although lines are long they move quickly. Plenty of shops for last minute shopping but prices tend to be high. I know the coffee is great but $20 for 10 ounces of beans is high. The chocolate is great but expensive. Surprisingly clean banos!

Nice for a small airport. After security, there are a decent selection of restaurants and small souvenir shops and a duty-free. Ample seating and outlets. Very clean and kind staff!

The airport is good for it being in a small country and an older airport. It is well staffed and flights within South America seem to always be on time and I have had no issues whatsoever. It is clean and inexpensive for everything when compared to airports in other parts of the world.

Cabs outside the airport charging out rages prices compared to miami,California or new York and two people asking $5 each just for helping me with my luggage. Please kick those rateros out of there that leaves bad taste for tourist !!!

Modern airport, comfy seats with plenty of power chargers. Don't see a large variety of food options but otherwise clean, friendly and well designed.

Disorganized, very few common area comfortable seats. We arrived at 2 AM from the US. All of the common seating was hard plastic chairs and already had people stretched out on them asleep.

We were headed to the Galapagos to dive and had to pick up all of our checked luggage. However, the desk to recheck the luggage to the Galapagos opens at 6 am. So we had to keep it with us until then. The line forms QUICKLY at 6 am to recheck luggage to the Galapagos, get there by 5:45 or be prepared to wait a while in line. You will need to pay $20 per person to get onto the island when you check your luggage.

The international terminal is only available to travelers within 5 hours of the flight departure time. You have to sit in the main concourse until then. While there are two VIP clubs both are in the international or domestic and not accessible until you can enter them.

When you enter the international terminal, you clear customs to leave Ecuador, that was a first for me. The line was 45 minutes to have someone check passports and stamp them.

The return from the Galapagos was expected to be much better since we had the luggage checked all the way to our final destination. However, when we arrived in the domestic area, we had to exit it, go to the main concourse to enter the international terminal. Since we were 8 hours ahead of the flight departure, we had to wait until we could enter and again go through customs.

American delayed the flight to the US until the next day. However, there are no AA agents in the international area, all are on the first level. We tried to go through security to get to them, but were told we could not do so. We asked for a solution, and none of them spoke enough English to be of assistance. So we went back to the VIP lounge and had them call an AA agent up to assist us. The agent had to escort us through security then through customs to re-stamp our passports then send us to a hotel.

Next morning, you guessed it, we had to clear customs AGAIN. But had to wait until 5 hours before the flight to enter the area.

All things considered, not a very efficient nor user friendly airport.

In low season everything is fast and organised. It has a very good free wi-fi service and seats with power and USB outlets to charge your electronics.

I took airplane from Galapagos to Guayakil. Some airport employee opened my backpack pocket and take my stuff. Please beware your backpack pocket, dont put any items infront of backpack. It is obvious some one open it intentionaly.

Amazing and beautiful nature related airport. It gives an idea of an ecological airport. And small enough to move fast yet international too.

It is a clean modern airport. Getting our luggage happened pretty quickly. Although as soon as the last piece of luggage came out the conveyor shut down. There does not seem to be much in the way of food offered here. The orchid display is a nice touch.
