Nice monument with a very rich history, it symbolizes the huge sacrifices of the martyrs. It punctuates the Algiers' skyline and makes it unique in its own way. At night, it lights up with three different colors: green for prosperity, red for the blood shed by the martyrs and white for peace. Next to it, a splendid view on the botanic garden of El Hamma and on the bay of Algiers.
Can fond everything. Fun joy. And build some memories
Consisting of three stylized fins that join mid-height, the concrete monument built by the Canadian company Lavalin, based on a model produced in the Fine Art Institute of Algiers, under the leadership of Bashir Yelles, reaches a height of 92 metres (302 ft). Above the three supporting fins, at 14 metres (47 ft) from the ground, is an Islamic style turret with a diameter of 10 metres (33 ft) and a height of 7.6 metres (25 ft), topped by a dome of 6 metres (20 ft). It rests on an esplanade that burns an "eternal flame" and includes a crypt, an amphitheater and the National Museum of El Mujahid (underground).

Dost istersen Allah yeter. Evet o dost ise, herşey dosttur.
Yârân istersen Kur'an yeter. Evet ondaki enbiya ve melaike ile hayalen görüşür ve vukuatlarını seyredip ünsiyet eder.
Mal istersen kanaat yeter. Evet kanaat eden, iktisad eder; iktisad eden, bereket bulur.
Düşman istersen nefis yeter. Evet kendini beğenen, belayı bulur zahmete düşer; kendini beğenmeyen, safayı bulur, rahmete gider.
Nasihat istersen ölüm yeter. Evet ölümü düşünen, hubb-u dünyadan kurtulur ve âhiretine ciddî çalışır.

If you want a friend, God is sufficient.
Yes, if He is the friend, everything is a friend.
If you want companions, the Qur'an is sufficient.
Indeed, for in the imagination one meets with the prophets and angels in it, observes the events in which they were involved, and becomes familiar with them.
If you want possessions, contentment is sufficient.
Yes, one who is content is frugal; and one who is frugal, finds the blessing of plenty.
If you want an enemy, the soul is sufficient.
Yes, one who fancies himself is visited with calamities and meets with difficulties. Whereas one who is not fond of himself, finds happiness, and receives mercy.
If you want advice, death is sufficient.
Yes, one who thinks of death is saved from love of this world, and works in earnest for the hereafter.

Very nice vire!
The Maqam Echahid (Arabic: مقام الشهيد, Arabic pronunciation: [mækæːm elchæːhiːd], English: Martyrs' Memorial) is an iconic concrete monument commemorating the Algerian war for independence. The monument was opened in 1982 on the 20th anniversary of Algeria's independence. It is fashioned in the shape of three standing palm leaves which shelter the "Eternal Flame" beneath. At the edge of each palm leaf stands a statue of a soldier, each representing a stage of Algeria's struggle.
A monument that you should see when visiting Algiers. A museum was settled under the museum. Entrance is 50DZ but don't expect too many things. City view from the monument is good. You can have a walk or take the teleferic (cable) line to the garden essai de hamma. The thing I don't understand is how they put antennas on such a memorial monument.
A must go when visiting Algiers. Iconic monument in the city.
A must see when visiting. Nice exhibit shows the history of the country The good and the bad. Very interesting and well done.
