Grande salle pour des expositions photos

Quality art and very well displayed. Unlike most places in the world they did not allow photography, even without a flash. That was the only very disappointing thing. Otherwise highly recommended.

A bog standard provincial museum.
Downside: acres of dusty glass cases containing miscellaneous bones, rocks and flakes of pottery, along with the same stuffed herons and pickled lizards as every other museum of its kind.
Upside: moderately interesting French paintings of Oran (not good paintings, but tellingly orientalist); upstairs random ethnographic exhibits from former French colonies, and a small but well-formed collection of Algerian handicrafts (mostly Kabyle).response / report this review -
