Hatsumi Sensei is the 28th Sōke.Specificities of the school:Bujutsu School, originally from China (used by the Chinese Imperial Guard).Kosshi Jutsu style, the art of attacking muscles and nerve points.One of its specificities is the striking distance which is very short (distance of an arm).Momochi Sandayu, also known as Sōke from Koto Ryū School, was one of the big names in this school.Gyokko Ryū School is the origin of the Gikan Ryū and Gyokushin Ryū schools."The Diamond Tiger School" (or "Precious"), is one of the oldest Japanese martial arts schools. It was created in China, and was apparently developed on the basis of Chinese Kempo (see page on the historical frieze).It is said that a Chinese named Cho Gyokko (there are several appellations), presented the first forms of Gyokko Ryu in Japan during the Tang Dynasty (7th-10th century).
