You can find many shops, I recommend you to buy algerian dates, it is so tasty there 😋😋😋
There is a pharmacy, shops where to buy chocolates, medium average restaurants and bars quiet expensive, rental cars, hotels information boxes and most of the airlines companies reaching algeria are also located there. Better to go early as there are too much security checks.
A new modern hall is being under construction right now, should be ready by end of 2018.response / report this review -

Slow, Shambolic and the Business lounge is truly awful.
We left Algeria via this airport last Sunday. It took 2.5 HOURS to get into the airport, through immigration, passport control and the endless x-rays of our baggage etc. The counters were very understaffed (although there were a number of 'supervisors' walking around looking important). The staff worked painfully slowly. The x-rays were even more numerous than the ones inflicted upon passengers at Bamako airport in Mali (and THAT is really saying something). We found the whole process of checking in and being checked, excruciating. We went to the Business Lounge. Oh dear, it was dirty, crowded and the food was really, really awful. Dried up, curled edge fish paste sandwiches anyone??? Horrible looking little cakes that looked as if they had been sitting there a week? thanks, but no thanks. We have passed through this airport about five times. We don't recall it ever being as bad.
Someone needs to do a systems analysis and get this placed cleaned up and moving again. It is awful.response / report this review -

Organization and service are bad, and everything is expensive. Also taxis are scammers, even for 1km distance, they demand over than 1500DA, and they don't even use the counter.

VIP/Business lounge is below the lowest expectations.
Reception staff are unfriendly and are looking at their mobile phone most of the time. They just do not care at all about the guests.
Food quality is very poor. Every 30 minutes some trays with disgusting tuna soft-toast sandwiches is placed on the food counter beside some undefined backed items which also do not taste any better!
Algeria is a great country with a wide variety of foods and fruits. It is sad that the VIP lounge at the country’s main airport doesn’t reflect any of this?response / report this review -

Very small airport and doesn't even come close to most international airports. There are no access to public transportation from this airport which makes it hard to get anywhere unless you have someone to pick you up or find a trust worthy taxi driver. Food is very expensive. Staff is straight up rude and unwilling to help!

The Lack of worldwide international standards makes this airport not much better than just a local one . Needs a lot of improvements and more services to be available with a better customer service . Algeria can do better than that for in International airport .

Availability of standard services does not make an Airport outstanding. Sadly this Airport lacks many of those basic services that is desired or expected of a country's capital city International Airport.
There is an ongoing Airport expansion works but that completion will take some more years.
I strongly believe that Algeria can do better than this because they h Ave the potentials.response / report this review
