  I was looking for a surf&yoga retreat in the Caribbean and stumbled upon the one offered at the eXtreme hotel. Vicky was extremely helpful in finding a week in March for me where other girls where attending too, making my experience more social. The food was amazing and so were the views on Kite beach, where the hotel is located. The farm tour was very interesting, especially for someone into plant cultivation like me. The river tubing after the farm tour is also not to be missed. Furthermore, the eXtreme hotel is a great place for solo travellers who want to meet cool people to hang out with after a sporty day kiting / surfing / flying trapeze. All in all a great experience which I will remember fondly. My only suggestion to the staff would be that of accepting credit card payments (as an European I did not have US dollars with me and cash withdrawal in the Dominican Republic is not very convenient).

  best active holidays ever in a solar powered hotel with friendly and helpful staff. I highly recommend it as well for solo travellers, it's easy to get in touch with fellow guests. they are located directly at the beach, restaurant is great, they offer yoga and fitness classes and even circus classes like aerial silks and flying trapeze - and they even have an organic farm you can visit!

  My school and I stayed here for about 5 days, and it was amazing. The plants and flowers in this hotel were stunning and so were the rooms. I really felt secure in the hotel because every entry was gated and needed a key to open it. The food was also good as well. This hotel is right on the beach which is a beautiful thing to wake up to.

  1. Great Location: right on Kite Beach.
  2. Internet works!!! and its free.
  3. Rooms: Top floor rooms are excellent, bottom floor are a little weak. I didn't see the middle floor.
  4. Staff are extremly welcoming and helpful. They obviously like what they do.
  5. There are a lot of fitness activities such as 'CrossFit' on the hotel grounds.

  The best hotel in the North Coast for Extreme People, with the faster internet connection, the admin people are so cool..

  Amazing place with tons to offer from Kitesurfing, Stand up Paddleboarding, Flying Trapeze, Jiu Jitsu, Crossfit, Yoga - a ton of fun
