Stumbled upon vivonte while checking out Puerto Plata. Austin came out and was immediately treating us like friends. He showed us the cigar factory and show room as well as taught us about the Dominican Republic and the cigar industry. My friends and I enjoyed a few beers and bought some cigars while enjoying the lounge. Such a great atmosphere to relax and enjoy a cigar, beer, and sports on the tv. I would absolutely make this a priority to stop in and see Vivonte.

After walking around and checking out Puerto Plata me and my 2 buddies were about to head back to the resort. We were aimlessly standing on the side of the road in front of Austin’s shop (Vivonte) and a friendly Canadian voice invited us in to check out the shop.
Immediately we were struck by the pleasant Aroma only a hand crafted Cigar can make. He took us upstairs to show us the process of how the cigars are made, and showed us the boxes they have created and explained some of their upcoming projects.
We hung out in the shop for a couple of hours drinking local beer and just hanging out with Austin, which made 3 golf pro’s from North America feel right at home. If you’re looking for quality cigars and just genuinely good people, check out the shop!response / report this review -

Amazing flavor! The tour was awesome. The cigars are unreal! So delicious. The coffee was surprisingly good as well. 10 out of 10. 100% recommend you check them out!

I just dropped in casually to check out the cigar situation and Paul invited me upstairs to see the working operation. There was an older guy making cigars by hand on his manual roller machine. We watched for awhile and Paul explained the operation and went into more detail on how the tobacco is planted, grown, harvested, cured, selected, made into cigars, stored, boxed, and sold. An excellent overview of the cigar industry in the Dominican Republic. I really enjoyed the tour and of course bought a few cigars to enjoy later. And they were excellent!

Austin was great at showing me how it all works, factory is beautiful and the coffee is VERY good. He let my girlfriend and I try a cigar, told us everything about vivonte. Good chat about cigars. Definitely the place to go for quality and an experience.

Visited here with a group of friends and was truly astonished. I was greeted with a mini tour where they make their cigars. Very knowledgeable and the cigars are Incredible! Definitely better than Some of the finest Cuban Cigars. Definitely will be back. Great atmosphere.

Great guys and great cigars. Stopped in twice while on vacation. Great informative tour from Austin (one of the sons) the first day we went and purchased their cigars. Went back a few days later, Had lunch, beer and a cigar with Glen, the father. It was great just to sit talk and enjoy everything. Hopefully we will make it back to see them, but if not, I can still order their cigars online.

The best cigar lounge and factory on the north coast. If you visit it should be one of the first places you visit. The staff know their stuff and its a great tour. You even get to sample Mama Juana, their own organic coffee and a free cigar. Now what can't you like about that!!!

Best cigar shop and lounge in Puerto Plata. Owners and staff are great. Had a great tour of thier factory upstairs. Great food and the Vivonte cigars are among the best I have tried. Great experience.

Best CIGARS in the Dominican Republic & Best Atmosphere on the North Coast - "Vivonte Cigars"
I have been going to Vivonte since the day that they opened (now almost 3 years and going strong) and it is always a great experience. They have the BEST CIGARS, as well as one of the most relaxing and enjoyable locations on the North Coast DR. Their brand ("Vivonte") is an incredible Cigar, you will never go wrong choosing their brand. But, they also have all of the other top Cigar brands from the DR available in their huge, beautiful humidor. Enjoy a great Cigar while watching your favorite sporting event/ game, listening to music, enjoying a drink, having a great meal, or just to catch up with friends in an air conditioned environment - "Vivonte" is the best place to be. Everyone I know who has been there has had a great time and a similar experience. I recommend it to everyone I know who lives in the area or who visits the North Coast.response / report this review -

Un servicio increíblemente amable, considerado como el mejor lugar de Puerto Plata para disfrutar de unos auténticos cigarros. Cuenta con una fina selección de las marcas más conocidas, así mismo su marca de la casa, un ambiente acogedor, donde además puede degustar de alimentos y bebidas asimismo puede disfrutar de los eventos deportivos en sus televisores.
