Truly 5 star. 24hr all inclusive room service. Four restaurants on the resort. Great staff. Clean and modern.
I just arrived today, and even though I haven't been here 24hrs yet I have already eaten lunch with room service and the meal was warm when it arrived and yummy. Also, I had dinner at the Dominican restaurant (no reservation necessary) . I ordered the seafood dish; mussels/calamari/baby clam and fish. My gosh it was delish.
Great staff. Great rooms. Smaller resort, however creates more opportunities for meeting people. Buffet could have more variety
Giving 3 stars as it's ok to rest your head. I had to call room service often for something as ridiculous as the room service didn't provide towels (yes you believe this)? No towels. Which they brought up to me. But they usually leave a few beers in your little fridge at night. When I went down and inquired about this he said there are always beers put into the fridge every cleaning, so far no beers have been put into my fridge. I get the whole inclusive deal and such but, now I have to go down to the bar to get a beer. Instead of walking to the fridge. Minor I know but it's the principal of the matter at hand. Cheap to lay your head but I wouldn't come back.
Although the resort was nice and the staff was kind. As a 31 yr old women, this resort is FULL of old (60+) people. I stayed 4 nights, 5 days and they had one night of entertainment that was decent. It was a magic show. My friend and I went to bed around 9pm every night because it was very quiet and boring every night. The food is 97% American and tasted like canned food. The best part of the food was either fresh pizza, soup, fruits, coffee and omelette. They did not have Dominican food. Also, all the liquor was watered down except the beer and Brugal. Lastly, my room had some plumbing issues.
The toilet did not flush well and the water coming out of the sink took a while to come out. The entire bathroom flooded every time you showered and according to the other guests had the same issues.
Great adults only vacation. Great staff. Clean rooms & grounds. Minutes from the beach lovely pool. Lovely food.
Love this resort 2nd year coming back and it's always great! Pools and beach all fabulous. Can not say anything negative about it here. My wife and I get the relaxation we want.
This appears to be a place that was once good but whose quality has diminished. We had fairly high expectations considering all the positive reviews so we were ultimately disappointed with our experience.
On the positive, the staff appeared to be hard working and helpful. If anything I would speculate that the decline of this resort is likely a management issue.
Our biggest complaint was how we were constantly bombarded by salespeople - first in the resort itself, with regular overtures to purchase expeditions; but also on the beach (not remotely private) with relentless vendors harassing us on a regular basis.
Secondly, we had explicitly requested room configurations which we were not granted. And one of the rooms did not even have functioning air conditioning. Which we were told was fixed three times before finally changing rooms. As far as I know that room still doesn't have functioning air conditioning but I am sure guests are being placed there. As this was our first engagement with the resort (followed by an average first meal) we did have a good impression from the beginning.
I've personally stayed at multiple resorts (and members of my party had stayed at even more), including two others in the Dominican and by far this was my worst culinary experience - though there was a lot of selection, the quality of the buffet and snack food was sub-par at best and I am still not convinced that we were actually eating beef. Luckily no one got sick. The specialty restaurants were slightly better but as they did not take reservations it was very difficult to get a table for any group more than two people. We consistently had to wait for more than an hour.
This was my first adult-only resort so that was an experience. If you are looking for somewhere quiet and peaceful, this is the place for you. But if you prefer music to be playing and a more festive environment you are better off looking at other resorts.
Lastly, the resort is about a 3-5 minute walk from the beach, which wouldn't be so bad if the path wasn't alongside a swamp. Needless to say no one left without multiple mosquito bites.
This appears to be a resort that was once good and could be good again. But I would not stay here again anytime soon.
Delicious food, clean room and beach. Helpful staff. Quite guests. Room is a bit small (the bliss room) and it is not a luxury hotel. Good value overall for the price.
Animation staff are fantastic, Stephanie at the pool bar is great! Great location, good food, clean, fun. We'll definitely return.
My stay here has been awesome thus far. The resort is beautiful! Hospitality is A-1 and it's always something to do. No complaints this way.
The best stuff works here ! Very friendly ! Robocop is the best showman in the world! " I love my job " that what he said always! The food and hotel amazing too. We gonna come back soon
Not good value for money. The beach is small but nice however the food is very bad at the buffet. Other Dominican resorts have a good selection of seafood and beans and rice combinations. The resort here had stale bread and cereals for breakfast, cold pancakes and French toast. For lunch and dinner there was overcooked seafood and unripe fruits.
Room service is also just sandwiches or a fruit plate. Don't be fooled.
Staff are generally unenthusiastic and other than some entertainment staff that were genuinely trying to do their jobs, most were tired and worn looking.
Busy little resort. Almost claustrophobic. You'd think based on the name of the resort and the room descriptions, you've found your own little piece of paradise. Not quite true. Though recently updated, the resort has a tired, worn feeling to it. Buffet was small and food sub par. Nothing is actually cooked in front of you. Food is often just reheated.
Beach is pretty, but cramped. It can be hard to find shade. The beach vendors are numerous and persistent.
If you're looking for a quiet getaway, this place may not be it.
Horrible. Horrible. Did I say horrible. I will leave the swearing out. Add the construction on top of the place. I will not call it a resort. Sunwing was great. Got Me the hell out of there. No way more than 2 star.
The hotel wasn't bad considering the price. The rooms were clean, the staff was really nice. The mini bar consists only of a coffee maker, 2 cups, teas; their fridge contains 2 cokes, 2 sprites, 2 bottles of water, and 2 beers. I actually had to call room service to have my fridge restocked on the first day, as the cleaning lady stated that the fridge will not be restocked until it has been emptied (no one wanted the diet coke), but we settled with that with the front desk and had our fridge restocked daily. The food selection was good, ate mostly at V kitchen since other restaurants opened randomly. Beach vendors were annoying at times, but the beach is not private so they are allowed to roam as they wish.
This is a very good Adults Only resort! Service is excellent, food is above average and the resort is fun and very clean. BIG recommendation to stay here! We will come back.
Great beach. Clean resort. No kids awesome! Foam party is fun. Needs more bars or tenders. Close to airport and town.
Small but excellent. Adult only. Staff are friendly and v. Accomadating. Mostly quiet but still a lot of fun with some party atmosphere day/nights. Only 2 days in and loving it.
Great resort! Food is good, all inclusive booze is great as well! They'll make any drink you want, including the local Mamajuana! All the staff is nice, but sometimes it seems they don't really want to be there, which is not the most pleasant thing to see in a server or a bartender on a resort.
Overall I give this resort a 5 star review, rooms were clean when we showed up, and the maids did a great job at keeping everything nice and tidy everyday! The beach is one minute away from the main pool, and there is a private walkway to the beach.
We found the buffet to be the best option on the resort, you see what you get, and the options are aplenty! They do "theme nights" Evey so often, from "food around the world" to "Mexican" and other. You can stay here for a week, and not have to eat the same kind of food twice.
The attractions offered here are good, but from what I understand not the cheapest around, the mall right next to the hotel might have the same attractions but at a cheaper price, do your research and ask around.
Thank you Wyndham for a pleasant and enjoyable week!
Very nice smaller resort. Adult only. Very well maintained and clean. Food was delicious.
The entertainment staff were, by a huge margin, the best we have experienced and we have been to quite a few different resorts in the last number of years.
The resort is NOT on the beach. It will take a 5 minute stroll through the mangroves to reach the ocean. We had no problem with that.
