Food was good. Rooms could use an upgrade. Overall it's affordable for a week's stay.
Exelent bar and restaurant, the drinks are not free and only some meals are included. Lacks a bit on entertainment. The beds and the rooms are great, but it's missing a beach/ocean view.
restaurant is great but the rooms need an upgrade
Very nice and private hotel in the middle of the town with walking access to almost everything. The grounds are very well maintained and the restaurant has quality food but you will pay for it. The service is great and attentive and the big open deck that the restaurant is located in gives it a real Caribbean but modern feel. Definitely a good place to stay but ensure the rules fit your lifestyle.
Raining but still 72 degrees. Bar has two big screens
I have stayed here several times and ate here as well. Great wood fire pizza. Staff will have several people who speak English. Rooms are back off the main drag so you can get a good nights sleep. May want to bring your own extra cover. The owners are super cool. Don't care for security guard last time I stayed. He was speaking in Spanish saying things to my guest that were making them angry.
Great location staff and management. The people really care. Willie front desk manager curtious and very helpful. Joe the owner hands on will sit at poolside bar an converse with customers as though he's one, great guy. I've stayed there 5 times since April, going back in February
Good restaurant. Very nice and clean hotel
Leaking water from the bathroom ceiling, clicking sound from the ceiling fan, unclean pool, horrible food and terrible customer service
Clean rooms, nice pool. Breakfast can be included with stay
I saw things I never saw did things I never did this place is simply mystifying
Good service, good food (especially pizza), good menu with many choices
Nice place to have fun
Muy bien muy buena ubicación tiene este hotel me encanta
Nice venue and the food and service is wonderful. I will recommend it to anyone.
You get what you pay for. Affordable nightly rate when I was in town, but I guess that is relative based on your finances.
I had a double room and it was relatively clean and was closer to the front of the hotel closer to Dr. Rosen. The WiFi in my room was relatively weak and my devices connected and dropped the connection quite often unless I stood in a certain part of the room.
The sheets on the bed were really thin and don't really count on them to keep you warm. The air conditioning in the room is really strong even though a sign in the room suggests that it is set at 74 degrees Fahrenheit. The weather was was in the mid 80s most of the time I was there and after figuring out how to turn off the air conditioning the room remained a comfortable temperature for the rest of the trip. The air conditioning switch was hidden behind the curtain in my room. I mistakenly switched the balcony light on or off when I was searching for the AC switch in my half awaken daze.
The safe in the room is not big enough to fit even an ultralight laptop and the hotel suggests that you check anything of value with the front desk. The front desk will give you a receipt that you hand back to them when you need your item back. The "deadbolt" in my room was installed incorrectly, so when you tried to chain the door, the part keeping it closed would just slide back down and out.
The pool seemed clean, but our group did not use them. The mini fridge in the rooms were supposed to be stocked, but mine was not. Just make sure you call the front desk to let them know the first day, so you're not charged for those items. I preferred the fridge empty anyway so I can keep any personal water or food in there without removing the hotel's.
Playa Sosua is about a 10 minute walk from the hotel and Playa Sin Salida is pretty close too.
Beware of this hotel!!! My room was broken into and the guest below me on the 1st floor. The intruder jumped the fence behind the hotel. The hotel management shrugged their shoulders and could care less!!! The manager of the hotel is a real piece of you know what
I'm being generous with 2 stars. To be fair it's a nice looking property with clean rooms. But my room has no hot water and to make things worse the entire hotel staff leaves after hours. I'm sitting in my room debating whether I should take a ice cold shower or eat the $100 per night charge (because of the superbowl this weekend) and find a different hotel room in town.
