We regularly use this restaurant when traveling to the north or Jarabacoa. It is conveniently located and always provides good traditional Dominican food. It's only problem is that it is a victim of its own success and, as on this occasion, it was completely full, with a lengthy waiting time even for a table outside.
This aside it remains an idea stopping place to sample good criollo food in a traditional environment. Best however to avoid lunchtime unless you are prepared to wait!

Best Chivo ever!!! The place was very crowded around 1pm on a regular Saturday. Service was very bad but I realized it was only our table, our server, cause the other waitresses were quick and nice. Most people around us that arrived after us, had their bread, drinks and food before us. We ordered the Chivo with Rice and Guadules and Fritos (fried green banana). Prices are expensive considering that you can get that in other place for half of the price, but worth every penny. Its a kind of a US $$$ for 3 people just for one entree each.

Awesome place on the way to Santiago. Varied choice, tasty Manggu. Was there for breakfast and I recommend it!
