The most well-stocked supermarket in old SDQ. Prices clearly marked and great values. Helpful staff.

If you’re near El Conde or in Zona Colonial, this will be your main supermarket. Inside there is also a small selection of freshly made food and bread, as well as a few ATMs. I accidentally left my ATM card in the machine, and the staff had found it and kept it for me. Honest people here, and a great selection of grocery items for the tourist or resident. (January 2018)

Ok for Americans visiting Santo Domingo when you just can't go another moment without American comfort food or you want to feel like your at home go to Supermercado Nacional. They have quality meat, American brands and prices similar to home. I needed cat litter and they had it. The locals say its expensive but the prices are very close to American supermarkets. Plus the service is almost like home.

Your ONLY option for a decent supermarket in the Zona Colonial area. Lines can be long at times and cashiers may not have change when you pay with a large bill.

This grocery store has everything you could need. During our stay in the neighborhood, we went there frequently mainly to use the ATM. There are three machines there. The one closest to the entrance has a $5000 RD limit and the other two have a $3000 RD limit. They charge you about $165 RD fee to withdraw money. As far as groceries are concerned, they have a plentiful inventory. And there's restrooms.
