  When I paid with a US credit card, Jose Luis converted the RD$ to US$ at a very bad rate to me and charged me in US$. I did not notice until I reviewed the receipt a few days later. This scam resulted in me paying an extra 8-9 US$ more. I returned to Jose Luis a few days later. The manger basically said: You were dumb enough to sign the paper; too bad. Many Dominican businesses cheat tourists. Jose Luis apparently is included.
