Hands down the best restaurant in cabarete!!!!! The food is out of this world and the prices are reasonable. The pasta is made daily and the fish is so fresh it is undescribable. I myself had the fruit punch which they to order and it was the best I ever had. I was accompanied by a large party and everyone only sung praise about their meal. We also ate at Bliss the night before and we discussed both restaurants and it was unanimous that Romo one hands down.

Calzone: cold inside.. pasta salsa like water and not friendly. Price: verry expensive for the quality! Don't go there!

Wouldn't eat there again. At least not as vegan. The menu had 3-4 vegan options but when requested they told that those weren't available. Finally one option was found but it wasn't especially good (gnocchi) and the waiter was rude. Two stars for the presumably owner trying to make our night to succeed despite horrible rain fall that evening.

We went here with a big group and were nicely sat in a big table. We were excited to see some vegan options on the menu as well. The weather was bad and the place where we were seated was flooding. The owner made his best to make us stay dry. However. The waiter said there were no vegan option available. After talking to the owner there was after all one option available. Seems the communication and knowledge wasn't the strong point. One pizza that was ordered was burnt and we had to wait longer for it than the rest of the food. When asked if there's any recompense we were rudely told that the whole pizza was eaten so apparently it was OK.
I would have given 0 stars if possible. The only reason the review is 2 stars is because of the very friendly and hands-on owner.
Food was expensive and servings very small. Taste was OK but not in par with the price. The staff was a bit rude and out of the loop.response / report this review -

We had a lovely evening. The food was very good and the ambience very nice and the service was good. Up to the end of the meal I would have given this place 5 stars. Note that I speak fluent Spanish and only talked/ordered in Spanish. So no reason for any rudeness from my end
The male waiter (probably head waiter) became ignorant and rude after his service was provided.
I was surprised and a little disappointed to find out they don't take cards, cash only. The waiter told me in a rude and abrupt way that it was clearly written down on the menu that they don't accept cards. I ended up being forced to leave my partner sitting at reception to go and find an ATM. The waiter also forgot to charge me for a beer on the bill, told me about it but didn't change the bill, so he probably pocketed that money. Due to this last ignorant and rude behavior I decided not to tip and will not be going back despite that the food and ambiance was very good and the menu looks very promising for future visits. The owner probably deserves 5 stars and clearly puts in the effort as the premises look good and food was also very good. The waiter service and being forced to go and find an ATM deserve 1 star. Siamo andati i. Questo posto credevamo era buono, ma che delusione!!!!! Il cibo era orribile, arrivati dopo 2 ora casi, hanno una cameriera molto odiosa è scortese, scocciata è con poca voglia di lavorare, mio bambino di 10 anni era morto di fame, il cibo era tutto freddo, la mia carne era gomma, le patate erano.vecchie, e ci volevano far pagare anche il limoncello. è successo due ore fa è sono ancora arrabbiata,!!!!!!!!! Chiudete questa schifezza di ristorante
