Great restaurant. Great food and good prices. They only take cash
Long time to cook, they don't bring food at the same time to people who order together. Also some dishes taste bad. Disappointed by this particular place.
Great place
Good good food & service
Good food, nice ambient
We found this place on our last day in Samana. It is directly across the street from the docks where the whale-watching boats are. We asked our captain to recommend a good place for lunch, and this was her choice.
This was, BY FAR, the best meal we ate in the Dominican Republic. Our party had seafood, steak, and pasta, and I tried them all. Outstanding all the way around. I think I would call the food Island french, with a brasserie feel serving up seafood, steaks, and pasta.
The room is small with an open air view of the bay. I would guess there are maybe 20 tables in the covered open-air dining room in the front and another 3 or 4 near the bar in the back. The wine list is okay (and above average for Samana), but we kept it simply by ordering cervezas.
The service was good, pleasant, and the slowish "island-time" pace that we've learned to tolerate. Lunch for four with beers was 3400 pesos (including tax).
If we had found this place on our first day, we probably would've gone back on our last. If you're in or near Samana, you've got to seek this place out.
I've eaten at this place since I was a kid! I stop I. Every time I make it back! Highly recommend and the view is priceless
Best food in town. I tried a many dishes and they were all amazing. I often struggle to find good beef in the DR, but this restaurant always gets it right. All their sauces are very tasty.
Service take some more time than other restaurants in town, but i personally think the quality of food is worth the wait.
Excellent food and service. Had the curry and mango beef, top notch. Chocolate cake was also amazing!
