I’ve been staying in Casa Linda for 5 years now. The homes are gorgeous and the complex is safe. It’s clean and security is excellent
Fantastic place to vacation. Private pool, beautiful beaches nearby and all of this coupled with a bevy of restaurants with delicious menus.
I visited Residencial Casa Linda with part of my family like a week ago. We rented 2 villages, I stayed in the 777. the service was terrible, starting with the guy who received us to do the check-in had an actitud like if we bothered him, when we got to the house the pool was dirty and we had to clean it. But the most disappointing was the last day. They started to bother us since 8:00 am calling the property asking us to live when the checkout time was 1:00pm; we told them we will be out a little bit early if they needed it even though it was not supposed to be like that. They sent service people to clean at 11:00 am while some of us were getting ready, (I was half way dressed when someone walk into my Room!!) they went to the bedrooms, kitchen, pool area and invade everything with us inside, PLUS looking at us like “get out of my way”.
At the check out on the reception area, they charged us for electricity for the other village which was used just to sleep, affirming us that they have used more electricity than what was allowed without any proof of it. Also, the guy had an actitud.
We left with a bitter taste of that place, and none of us would recommend Casa Linda.
From all the places I’ve visited and immerse in the hospitality industry, this has been the poorest and most disrespectful service I’ve got so far.
Great place to stay only thing is the electricity keeps tripping out while we were there.
Last year we came to Casa Linda for the month of February and it was nearly perfect. This year has been nothing like last year. No hot water for 5 days, no water at all for a full day. The stove works sometimes. Nearly impossible to get water delivered. I finally took the shuttle to the office after asking for water all day. They were not ready for us at all on the first day. No lights turned, no working stove, no lights in the other bedrooms. Took the shuttle to Sosúa and the shuttle never came back for us. Not a great place to be after dark.
It has cost us extra money in taxis and water and it’s only the first week. Loud noise the first three days where you couldn’t hear the person next to you. We called Security but they didn’t come till the next day when the horrible neighbors weren’t home. I think they thought we were crazy for complaining.
We have decided that this is our last visit to Casa Linda. I just hope we can make it to the end of the month:(
Update- we are now in our last week here, thank God! Worst vacation we have ever had!!! We have neighbors behind us that are so loud again, that we can’t even stay out by our pool because we can’t hear each other talk. We call Security and they say they cannot do anything until 11:00pm. We then call at 11:00pm and as soon as they leave the noise continues. The night before they were so loud we couldn’t sleep and this lasted until 5:30am!!! We even asked if Security could come to our Villa to hear what we have to hear all day and night and they never showed up! Makes me wonder what we would do if we had an emergency!!! Don’t feel very safe here.
Not only will we not return but one of our guests was interested in buying property here after we told her about our experience last year and she left today saying she will NEVER buy here! She didn’t have hot water for her shower one single day after staying a week. We have only had hot water for three days out of the three weeks we have been here. Worst Vacation EVER!!!! Can’t wait to go home!!
Loved their style, vision, quality and prices so much, we bought 2 villas. Seriously!
24/7 security, beautiful large villas in a secluded tropical oasis. Just watch out for bugs, insects and spiders when it rains they like to get into the house.
Maybe the best and cleanest place on the coast. Nice restaurant as well . lovely staff
Nice private place.
Best gated community in the area .very well run
When there with friend, good set up all around, def for large group 6 +
Secure nice villas great price
Very nice place to stay.very clean and safe
KEEP AWAY FROM THIS PLACE!!!! Casa Linda is full of single, black men from the States who come to Sosua for PROSTITUTION and a good time. The number of prostitutes coming in and out of the compound is terrifying. Not a place for kids nor families!!!. Don't let unscrupulous realtors looking for a quick commission or deceiving web sites with false reviews lure you into buying or renting anything there. The petty crime rate is considerable, as their security seems to be in cahoot with criminal elements, as there have even been murders within its walls! The staff is rude and treat their workers like slaves. KEEP AWAY FROM THIS PLACE.
the staff was nice , the villa was was decent , the beds slept horrible . I would suggest you bring your own linens and towels .. the linens are only maybe 300 count and the charge you for extra towels last but not least the safes dont work properly
Amazing place
