  Very delicious food. The only problem? They didn't offer Cuba libres with their native Brugal rum. I had to opt for a lesser quality one. Nevertheless their food and service was excellent as well as their very reasonable prices.

  Nice location was very big, well lit and pretty nice I should say. Located right across the Santiago Monument, perfect venue but somewhat limited.
  1. Food was not only expensive for a Dominican Restaurant but also basic and not so tasty.
  2. The service was another fail, the servers just about all were very lackadaisical.
  3. THE WORST IS THAT THEY HAVE NO PRESIDENTE! I repeat NO PRESIDENTE BEER!! They only have Quisqueya. SERIOUSLY GUYS!! That was the two stars for me.
  Anyways I won’t be back for sure!

  I love the restaurant and the food. It's in a good location easy to find. Right in front of Monumento a los Héroes de la Restauración.
  
  One thing that I don't like, the restaurant has an agreement with a beer company and they only sell one single type of beer.

  During my March and May 2013 visit to Santiago de los Caballeros, I went to Puerta del Sol restaurant/bar 🍴 🍻🍷🍸.
  
  - Lively atmosphere.
  - Clean place.
  - Friendly and welcoming staff.
  
  I would recommend this restaurant to anyone visiting Santiago.

  Nice view of the Monument. Fresh air with it's open air concept. Okay music from DJ. They need to improve their slow service. Don't sit at the tables near the edges so the poor don't try to ask you for money or sell you something.

  Puerta Del Sol is a hit or miss place. I visit frequently and on some occasions it's a solid 5 star and on others not even 1 star. I once waited over an hour for a skirt steak (churrasco). I never order their beer it's crap! F quisqueya beer yuck! Their drinks are good and have a wide selection. My favorite thing about this spot is the location. No matter how many times I come to Santiago sitting there looking at the monument is priceless.
