The environment and the people are just awesome. Very nice looking store with competitive tax free pricing. Lots of items on sale. If you catch the tour take, its FREE and very entertaining. They teach you all of the processes and show you around the factory. If you are a rum lover, you must try the La Aurora 110th Aniversario. Its awesome. Be aware that the store is inside the plant so you need to go in through the main gate and then find your way around to terminal 3 inside.

I couldn't begin to describe how awesome it was to spend time at LA Aurora. Their products: cigars, beer, rum, and coffee, I knew were awesome. I now know how amazing their people and company are. Their commitment to excellence shows at every level. I am humbled to have been allowed to spend time there and highly recommend not only buying the products but go see them for yourself.

My wife and I had a tour of the factory two weeks ago, and it was a lifetime dream.
If you love cigars and happen to be in the Dominican Republic, the tour is worth the trip. We came into Amber Cove, took a cab to Puerto Plata $15, then a bus to Santiago $4. In Santiago we took another cab to the factory $5. If you arrive in Amber Cove, catch a cab outside the gates.
The tour starts with a short and very good video in a room with some beautiful antique cigar production items as well as tobacco seeds, sprouts and a larger plant.
The tour takes you through every stage of production at a perfect pace. Not too long, never boring, and all opportunities to touchm smell and see everything. All employees were comfortable with close-up watching and photos.
It ends in their shop which is beautiful as well. I bought a box of their 100 Anos and it indeed was a great price compared to what I get in the USA. Even if it wasn't a great price, this specific cigar is absolutely spectacular. I also purchased a couple sample packs. Make sure you check out theiir rum that is only available directly from this shop.
The tour gentleman was friendly, very informed, professional and fun. A great reflection on their company. Simply wonderful. The tour was generous and thourough. The nice lady in the store was also a great reflection of professionalism and pleasantness. Everything was absolutely perfect in every way. It made my trip to the Dominican Republic one of the greatest memories in my life. Wonderful people.
