  Absolutely beautiful place.
  
  One of the most beautiful beaches of the DR is the one Behind El Moro.
  
  It is about 5 hours form Santo Domingo. There are many Hotels in the area.
  
  The access to the beach is free.

  Very glad we made the trip to this part of the island. There are 2 trails. The first one basically goes straight up the taller mountain. Looks like it used to have stairs but they are ancient ruins now. The view from the top is great, but the vegetation is so thick it's hard to see much. The second path climbs the smaller hill overlooking the beach. The path is easy, and there are many stations that tell the story of Christ's path to golgotha. It's a simple metaphor while walking that was actually quite spiritual. The view from the top is great! We were there at high tide, so there was no beach, just rocks. But it was beautiful all the same.
