I called this hotel directly 3 weeks prior to my trip to make reservations, the person on the phone took all my information and set I was all set for the date I asked for.
when my family and I arrived at the hotel at 4:30 am the man at the counter said our names did not show on the reservation list and check in time was not till 3:30 pm, not that it mattered because they were ALL BOOKED !! NO rooms were available !
leaving my family of 5 wondering the streets in the dark looking for a place to stay. We found a cabana, they are every where in Dominican Republic but its not appropriate family! cabana is a "Wham Bam thank you Mam"
type of place very inappropriate if you have children ! which we did, but had no choice because it was all we could find for the night.
The next day I went back to D'Pravia hotel and demanded to speak with the administrator who was very apologetic for what happened but wasn't able to fix the problem because all the rooms were booked !
he offered to give me the rooms I needed at a discounted price but I had to wait 3 more days for the rooms to be available
having no choice rather than sleep in cabana for the rest of the trip we took his offer and hopped around different terrible hotels/ cabana for 3 days ! all the staff have a very flat effect no friendly greeting when you arrive no thank you for coming when you leave, and you have to chase the housekeepers to clean the rooms. Its really too bad because it is the most decent hotel in town but they really need to trained their staff !

New and modern. Downside room was HOT and the staff had no way of accommodating me. In the middle of my shower the water ran out. Also nobody helps with luggage. I had to climb three flights of stairs with my bags. I won't be staying here again. Really a shame because it is very pretty and new.

Beautiful Modern Hotel with EXCELLENT staff! I stayed at this hotel for an entire week and it was very comfortable and the owner Luis and his wife were very welcoming, they made our stay feel like we were home. :) Food was amazing, and the hotel is very clean. Spacious rooms and excellent shower head! i definitely recommend this hotel they are an A+ in my book and i hope to stay there again when I'm in the Dominican Republic! Thank you Dpravia Hotel!!!

Excellent hotel. Everything is clean and well kept. I slept well every night for the week i stayed. Staff was helpful, friendly- great overall. I definitely recommend it to anyone staying in the area.
