The people are very nice, the maids, the owner and the manager. Had great talks with them. Everything gets cleaned a lot. Only inconvenient thing is that you need to bother them every time you need to enter or exit the place. A great place to enjoy the city from.

Ambiente colonial muy acogedor. El dueño y su familia son gente buenísimas y súper amables. El lugar está bien y céntrico. Lo recomiendo.

the place is lovely, and the host and his son are very welcome. really enjoyed our conversations about the DR. breakfast served when you're ready in an nice, clean, white cloth table. would have spent the whole time there enjoying the house. I'm giving it 4 stars instead of 5 because our room did not have any window and it was poorly ventilated, so the humidity of the bathroom (ensuite and with no window either) would extend to the room. there was also a broken pipe on the sink and the water was leaking.

Es un buen lugar para pasar la noche. Aceptable para una pareja o una sola persona que solo necesiten pasar la noche. Personal agradable y dispuesto. Es un lugar acojedor y además la cama es sumamente confortable. También te ofrecen desayuno.

Loved this place. A beautiful refurbished aristocratic colonial house, a cool (air conditioned and ceiling fan) respite from cheaper hostels, with great value (40 dollars/night including breakfast, much cheaper than anywhere else I saw in Santo Domingo) plus the people running it at extremely nice, helpful, and friendly.
