Very beautiful location, quite in front of the beach and close to the main restaurants and bars in Las Terrenas. The rooms are clear (even if quite hot). The hosts are very kind and friendly.

Can't say anything about the rooms or how it is like staying at this place.
However we had an awesome dinner in the Italian restaurant connected to the building. Although they were about to close (since we came late), the chef and his wife prepared some delicious homemade ravioli + an extraordinary appetizer and desert on the house.

La maison est très belle, Alain, Stéphane et le couple du restaurant sont très accueillants, aux petits soins on peut leur poser toutes nos questions. Le restaurant est très bon et la nourriture fraiche.

Stefan (Holländer) ist nett und hilfsbereit. Es gibt keine Rezeption, aber man kann ihm jederzeit per WhatsApp schreiben. Das Preis-/Leistungsverhältnis finde ich angemessen (Haben pro Nacht 55€ gezahlt (Frühstück inkludiert)). Im Zimmer gibt es keine Klimaanlage, aber einen großen Ventilator an der Decke, das hat uns persönlich gereicht. Es gibt ein Mosquitonetz über dem Bett, welches uns aber beim Schlafen störte und wir es in der 2ten Nacht nicht mehr nutzten. Das Zimmer ist nicht komplett verschlossen (Spalten und Nieschen unter dem Dach / Fenster im Bad sind nur Klappläden) Wir haben während unseres Aufenthaltes allerdings keine Tiere entdeckt.
Die Badtüre konnte man nach dem Verschließen von innen nicht mehr öffnen (Wurde uns allerdings zu Beginn mitgeteilt), aus der Dusche kam meistens nur kaltes Wasser. Der Aufstieg zum "Penthouse" war sehr eng (Mein Koffer hätte nicht durch gepasst - musste ihn im Auto lassen.) Die Einrichtung ist zusammen gewürfelt, aber das Flair passt. Viele Details zB Wandbilder, Vorhänge ergänzen dies sehr gut. Es gibt keine Rolläden, dafür aber Vorhänge, die leider nicht blickdicht sind. Man darf kein Toilettenpapier in die Toilette werfen und der Zustand der Dusche war eher dürftig.
Das Restaurant unten (indem auch das Frühstück serviert wird (6$)) ist sehr gut. Nette, kleine Familie (auch aus Europa) mit leckeren Gerichten zu wirklich günstigen Preisen (400 Pesos (Ca 8€) für 3 Gänge Menü). Würde ich sofort wieder Essen gehen!
Insgesamt wars für 2 Nächte in Ordnung, wir brauchen keinen großen Luxus, aber es ist wirklich sehr einfach gehalten.
Der Strand ist vom Hotel aus schon zu sehen, also nur ein paar Meter entfernt. Wlan funktioniert, Videos laden manchmal etwas länger.

We stayed in the 'penthouse', and had the entire 3rd floor to ourselves. Great breeze and ocean view throughout! There is no A/C, for those who think they need it. Personally, I never use A/C here and the ocean breeze and ceiling fan work just fine.
The owners have lived and worked in Europe, so the standards and quality of service here are much higher than a local Dominican place.
I think I've found me new 'place to stay' while in Terrenas.response / report this review -
