The Carrefour is part of the biggest french retail supermarket chain, so you find all the good and special food from Europe. But of course only the treated and packed foods, the fresh fruits and vegetables are locals. First good thing of this supermarket: you'll find a very large parking lot, big enough for every rush hour. Second thing: you find good auxiliary shops, bank offices and a handfull of fast food restaurants just in the entry of the mall. The supermarket itself is big enough for 2h shopping and you can find all necessary products for your daily life including clothes, shoes, tv and PlayStation.
The food store has a wide range of good products from Europe and US, the variation, the quantity and quality is very good. Especially the wine store is amazing and will give you many times for exploring and choose the right wine for your next candlelight dinner on the beach of Boca Chica. Enjoy you shopping!

This is the Walmart of the Dominican Republic! The prices are as expected for a Caribbean island. Except, as a tourist, you don't have to worry about getting the tourist price. The price is the price. The sale prices (ofertas) are good.

Totally renovated. It's much better now.
Very good stock of wines and imported goods.
Prices are fair compared to other groceries stores.
I'd recommend visiting it for a quick lunch/dinner, good bread and wines.
Bathrooms could use better management though.

After their latest remodel, they now show a better market. They have better produce than last year and the ambience is cleaner, better presented and more organized. Their parking lot is by far one of the best for a market like this in Santo Domingo. They still have room for improvement in service, although I must admit they’re working on this subject.

Great products variety with good French selection, specially from Carrefour brands. Of course you will find the local things and something else. Lots of products, space, parking lot, even several hardware store. Organization and friendly people, Worry to give you the best service. Several international beer Brands if you look for more drinks than regular market.

Carrefour, I'd give it 3.5. It is grocery store. It is meant for people living around their neighborhood, Santo domingo west side due to the heavy traffic during peak time. They have an affordable selection of french wine and usually sell their merchandise at a good price

I do love the big selection of food, wine beer and bread. They have a very large selection and hot food area is very well organized and cheap compare to quality and staff that they have. I love this place also because you can find almost anything in here and they have bank drogstore and other fast food business as well please they have the best parking option in Santo Domingo with very large area and space for cars almost any size

My favorite hyper market and Santo Domingo. Pretty much like super target in the USA. Great bakery and fresh food section. They always end up having the best prices for electronics and household items. The store is spacious and very clean.
