Great affordable place to stay in cabarete! The rooms were comfortable and are right on the water. The room I stayed in opened up to the ocean and with some candles it was easily the most romantic place I have ever been. It takes a short 25-50 peso motoconcho ride to get to where all the good restaurants, bars, popular beaches, and great kiting locations. When staying at this hostel you feel almost like you have a private beach all to yourself. Just across the street is a convience store that stays open late, a small outdoor bar for playing pool, cheap drinks, and great homemade food! It's a locals place to hang out, and there's always a motoconcho driver there too. Within walking distance is a grocery store, and a guy that sells empanadas.
The guy that manages it, Jimmy, is fantastic and always available to help.
It's rustic, so if your somebody that demands a/c or has high expectations, it's not the place for you.
The area is also very safe, I never felt any danger walking around at anytime of day or night.response / report this review
