Convenient. Prices aren't bad. Obviously not to do a whole grocery shop but if you need a couple of things from groceries/paper products/booze/cold beer/basic personal care items its perfect.
This supermarket is the largest in the area. You can find varieties of products and you can pay in dollars. Dominican pesos and you can pay with credit card or debit card
no prices given for some products and the unfriendly petsonal doesnt give you this info. The prices you receive after scanning (which are hignly overpriced) The meat is old and hard.
This is more of a convenience store than a market. They have very little fresh food. You'll find canned foods, drinks, chips, cigarettes and booze mostly. The prices are a little high.
BAM is a good market for anyone that is up for a short walk to grab any type of food, hygiene, or spirits during their vacation. Certain things could be re-stocked in the store that are common for travelers, but I got what I needed.
Quite expensive. Backon in not kept in the freezer. No fresh vegetable.
Most of the products don't have price-tags - really annoying if you are doing a bigger shopping. Cheaper markets in the area. Service and location OK.
Quick easy shopping. No air conditioning more expensive than nearby markets. If you're willing to walk a little farther there are cheaper places. If not bam Market is fine for most basic needs walking distance to the resorts in the area.
Great market, it was a 5min walk from my apartment rental. (THEY HAVE IT ALL) no need to travel very far for your essential.
Good spot to chill outside. SuperMarket prices but with outdoor tables
Great selection of pantry items and alcohol. Very little produce or meat.
There's not much to say. It's an easy place to go if you're staying nearby, but it's quite expensive, and if you're using US dollars expect to be shortchanged. The only item worth buying here is bottled water.
The stools/high tops outside were nice.
Decent market - has your essentials and then some! Prices are definitely a little higher than Super Pola but not outrageous - probably looking at roughly $2 for a bottle of El Presidente and 1L bottle of Barcelona Añejo rum for approximately $15 - so not bad. Very convenient if staying at Playa Turquesa condos or somewhere nearby.
A good local supermarket, we were able to get the things we needed here during our week stay. There are three small groceries stores in the area, each with their own advantages.
Very convenient for Playa Turquesa! Prices are good. A very wide variety of products. Always seems short on Presidente. Get the bread before noon.
Staff was horrible. I was there two times and every time they have tried to shortchange me. Once they have even been successful. When i wanted to know why is the price different, they weren ´ t able to explain it. Bad experience. I recommend another supermarket Ciccolella (circa 50 m near) where the staff was pleasant, kind and where the prices were lower.
