I love caves, and have visited caves around the world. This has to be a near favorite. It was only 40 minutes of easy ride from Santo Domingo, so if you are in the city it is well worth renting a car to drive out there. The cave has an enormous collection of pictographs which help provide insight into Taino culture, often lacking in the historical records of this colonized island. Our tour guide was knowledgable, kindly about my halting Spanish, professional and personable, and knew the corrosponding Taino story and significance of each pictograph. The symbolism is also very evident, as the drawings are clear, especially as you go deeper into the caves. The floor has been well treated, and it is clean and easy to walk. A word to the wise, this place is in an impoverished area, and you’ll want to pack a lunch and make sure you have gas. You drive through a limestone quarry to get there and we wondered if we were lost during parts of the drive. Don’t be scared off. GPS isn’t lying. At the end of that dirt road is a true gem. Totally worth it.

A very huge national park and with lots of Historical arts and sculptures. Very beautiful and well taken care of. Well reserved park , thanks to Dominican Government for their great jobs about reserving and preserving all these parks. I love them and histories in this country. Come and visits.

There are a lot of caves which Taíno used to live and have activities in. There are many signals and draws on the wall and rock of the caves. Also, the souvenirs there are also delicated.

Great place, although it can use some improvements. Very educational, entertaining. The use of a guide is mandatory because it is a large area with many caves and nooks. Could easily get lost or injured.

Me gusta mucho el lugar , son más de 55 cavernas que guardan la cultura taína. Es apto para todo público , ellos están implementando el turismo accesible en RD, han colocado rampas para que personas en silla de rueda y otra discapacidad física , también puedan entrar a la cueva .

Una reserva de arte rupestre y pictografia, es la reserva más grande del Caribe, existen pictografias en esta cueva que también han sido descubiertas en Cuba descubre tu país, te invito a visitar las cuevas del pomier.

La Reserva Antropológica Cuevas de Borbón o contienen 55 cavernas con la mayor diversificación de petrogilifos y pictografías del caribe.
Es una experiencia muy interesante sobretodo en la "sala del silencio" en cueva 1. En esta part se mide el nivel de silencio que tiene la cueva.prueben esta experiencia.
A partir del 7 de abril 2017, por disposición del Ministerio de Medio ambiente el precio de entrada será Rd$200 p/p.
Ojo: El precio es por cueva. Y en un día no se va a todas. La cueva 1 es la mas grande y su recorrido oscila por los 30 minutos. Las demás cuevas son mas para aventureros porque tienen que arrastrase y escalar.response / report this review -

Es una importante reserva antropológica donde podemos evidenciar petrolíferos y arte rupestre hecho por los indígenas que una vez habitaron nuestra isla. Es muy hermoso el lugar y se puede ver en sus alrededores una hermosa vista de la ciudad y el mar en el fondo.
