Borne and raised with my grand mother an aunty cousins we all use to have great fun living in a two room house where we were much comfortable at home.

From the islands that we've visited, this was the only one where I didn't feel comfortable (rather threatened actually). The dock is secured with guards and barb wire, which should have been indicators for us to not walk about on our own. The naive tourists that we were, we did just that and then is when I experienced what must be the same for prey animals getting surrounded by hyenas, circling around and closing in. We ran towards a bus, which happened to be starting a sight seeing tour. The islands is very beautiful (botanical gardens as well as rainforest are impressive) but inhabitants are very poor. Despite the enjoyable tour guided by a friendly lady cracking "why did the chicken cross the road"-jokes, the 'welcoming experience' weighs in the most which I have marked this island to never return again.
