If you are lucky to get there early as we did you will have pool to yourself. Be careful getting in and out as can be slippery it it has been raining.

Great outing. The pool is refreshing. The path to the pool is well maintained. If you want the pool to yourself go when there isn't a cruise ship on island. The pool is still worth a visit even if you get to go on a cruise day. This natural attraction is absolutely breathtaking.

We went to the Emerald Pool with Pepper (look him up he is the best guide on the island) Its a few miles down to the Emerald Pool but its a well constructed pathway. Get there early before everyone else and you'll have the place all to yourself.

Despite it's touristic atmosphere , Emerald Pool was definitely worth a visit as it is a real stunning rainforest site - and for sure one of the most famous waterfalls on Dominica (besides the Trafalgar falls). However, we found better and more authentic waterfall locations around. Our favourite were the nearby Spanny's Falls which are on a private property (you need to pay an admission fee).
