Loved the fact that a river was just across the street from the airport. Beautiful scenery indeed Dominica is the Nature Isle. It was a pleasure visiting Dominica.

I've experienced horrible treatment in my departure from this airport going home.. every employee I had to come in contact with was extremely rude and non cooperative.. You would think that since only 20 people fly here at a time things would run smoother but on the contrary it doesn't. Starting with check in the man who was checking us in was rude when checking our bags even before telling me the process of checking in he said I can't afford to check an extra bag. I was so offended by his statement and his attitude there afterwards was completely unacceptable. I'm sure anyone anywhere can complain about immigration but these immigration officials here were so full of attitude and lack luster for there job it was disgusting. The airport alone turned me off from this country I don't think I'll be back here anytime soon especially since I spent upwards of 6000 dollars here on this island. But the message was sent they don't need my money and they won't get it again

Very small airport that was damaged significantly in a storm but the staff and people are very welcoming and it's one of the most pleasant experiences I've had dealing with customs, etc.

I could not believe the attitude of the people working here. They were ignorant, unfriendly, and had very poor customer relations.
Without the visitors to these Caribbean islands, they wouldn't have a job.
The check in was very surprising as they said we had to pay £15 each disembarkation tax. I explained we hadn't been here for a holiday, but we had come straight from the ship in a taxi to the airport. What's more, it had to be paid in cash, they don't take cards.
I think they should make it clear to all travellers what to expect. What's more, the waiting area is dreadful, with only a vending machine that only takes their currency, not even US dollars.

Mid sized aircraft are able to use the runway. The terminal is small and slow to process any more than one flight. Transport links are poor especially if your flight comes in late. Travel time to Roseau is@ 2hrs because the roads are single track and offer few passing places for large vehicles. Rentals are available, best to book before you arrive. People are friendly and colourful. Local beaches require caution as they are on the Atlantic side and tend not to be rated or patrolled.
