Firstly, as a side note, Copenhagen's number one tourist attraction (on trip advisor) closes at 2pm on a Sunday. That's 2 in the afternoon if you are in any doubt. A great place to spend an hour or two, however, if you've been to an equivalent in any of Europe's other big cities there is not a lot to knock your socks off

One of the most well kept palaces that I’ve seen. It has some really neat artifacts and history. It’s not extremely huge but if you like history and excess opulence then you should definitely go.

This is one of the castles in the city of Copenhagen that has a museum of the crown jewel.
It's pretty small compared to the other castles around the area. The adjacent garden/park is beautiful and nice to just take a stroll and enjoy the greenery. Admission is included in the Copenhagen card and the museum has alot of really cool jewelry, shiny stuff. Oh I love shiny stuff.
The castle is very cool to look at, it has the classic Renaissance structure with lots of rooms, hallways and corridors. It would be really fun to play hide and go seek here. There was a room with an extensive collection of swords, I'm sure they are priceless.

Interesting historic castle on beautiful grounds in central Copenhagen. Tour the castle then visit the vault to see arms and gorgeous gems! There is an audio guide you can download (which wasn't working when we visited, unfortunately). Children really enjoyed visiting, and there is enough to see to keep 6 and 7-year-old children engaged.

Historically significant palace in Copenhagen. You can see the crown jewels and other historical antique items. You can easily spend half a day here, but a quick overview is going to take around an hour. There is student discount.

We could just see the outside, but it was amazing.
Surrounded by a clean and quiet garden where you can chill, have a bite or just enjoy a little pause.

A nice castle hidden in the Kings Gardens, it is beautiful! You can sit outside and relax for a while. It is very beautiful! It is a must in Copenhagen

Stunning grounds and buildings. Loved my trip round. Pick up a map though when you pay in as there's a set route round to avoid congestion.
All in all a great afternoon. Some areas are dimly lit though so be warned if you want to take pictures :)response / report this review -

For anyone interested in history this is well worth a visit An amazing amount of things to see - could easily have spent twice as long.
Staff are very knowledgeable and willing to share their knowledge when asked.

The castle was beautiful but they don't let you take in your purse. They have lockers there, you insert 20 Kronen, put your stuff in and take the key. We thought it would be safe. WRONG!!!!! We didn't realize until hours later that someone broke into it, took my wallet out of my purse and also took a money holder from my friends backpack. I didn't think about taking my wallet/change purse with me. Very frustrating.We had to cancel credit cards. WHAT A PAIN!!!!!!

A beautiful castle–one of the best in Copenhagen. The size is very manageable and the treasury with the Crown Jewels is awesome. However, I wish the written descriptions were more detailed and frequent–you have to go online to get a lot of detail on the objects.

Go see the crown jewels, amazing! Plan to be thete to see the Palace guard assemble at 11:30 to march to Amalienborg for changing of guard ceremony at 12:00.

I'd like to recommend for Aging Steak than the others first.
I never have been to taste it than any other place before in any world restaurant with this price.

Great place, the castle itself is interesting to see, and it is brilliantly organised in a museum with well documented masterpieces. Really impressed by the amber and ivory sculptures.

The Crown jewels are BEAUTIFUL! They display much more actual jewelry than the Tower of London in England. I preferred this collection over the British Crown jewels.
