One of the blandest burgers i have ever eaten.. And it cost 30 euros!.
Sent my first one back as it was so dry and asked for the next cooked rare. It came rare but, totally unseasoned and bland, encased in a huge dry bun.
My mother was also presented with a glass not only dishwashered to hell with calcium all over, but with red sludge in the bottom.
The salad was akin to harvester and the beer served warm.
Very poor and behind the times.
Great, classy restaurant in a lovely central location in Copenhagen! We had dinner there for Morten’s Aften dinner (roast duck and apple crumble) - food was amazing, and the service is extremely nice! We’ve spent a great evening, and will definitely return!
Traditional Danish restaurant with a beautiful dining room and good, if a bit boring, food. Salad bar was great, especially as there were few vegetarian options.
Lots of good food for the money. Big smørrebrød portions.
Truly beautiful food in a very pleasant atmosphere. Had the lobster soup for starters which was simply amazing. Followed by the venison for main, cooked two ways. Whist Copenhagen is generally expensive for eating out, the quality of this meal more than offset the prices. I'd come back to Copenhagen again just to eat here!
Their classic burger was very good, cooked exactly like I wanted it (medium rare).
The square with a fountain outside made for a nice atmosphere while eating.
Beautiful old restaurant, great Interior, friendly staff and good food.
When we got there we were extremely pleased with the restaurant itself. However, it's not always that a restaurant lives up to its decor. In this case the restaurant did an excellent job. The waitress gave us various options and then finally we asked her to make choices on our behalf. We ate the open sandwiches and drank some wine and beer and it was a wonderful afternoon at this restaurant. I would recommend it highly for anyone looking for an exceptional Danish experience.
I would highly recommend the fish. To me that was exceptional.
One of my favorite lunch restaurants in Copenhagen for a classic Danish lunch. The 3 piece "Smørrebrød" menu for 150 is always a good bargain and the wide selection makes it easy to accommodate different food moods.
Also the restaurant has a great atmosphere and in the wintertime it is quite cosy to sit next to the open fireplace and enjoy lunch.
The food here was wonderful, and not too overpriced. I highly recommend the Beef Rib! Nice atmosphere too, and our food came out quite quickly. Would definitely return.
Great food but pricey and service a little distant..
Lovely location, beautiful old building with little cozy areas, very friendly service and great food. The only minus would be that my raw steak was not as raw as like it, but otherwise food was great. Definitely place worth coming back to.
I've been here way too many times not to give it 5 stars - something like 50 visits over a period of 15+ years.
Especially enjoyable in the summer when you can sit outside and enjoy the atmosphere at Gråbrødretorv - one of the most charming places in Copenhagen!
Consider asking for a "quiet table" as it can otherwise be fairly crowded and noisy - or a table next to the (sometimes) lit fireplace, cozy!
Peder Oxe has been around since the late 70's and continues to be well visited, great for both lunch and dinner.
Very friendly staff, consistent quality and reasonable prices. Suitable for a lot of occasions, from a romantic date to a business dinner. Also very well suited for large groups.
Popular with the locals but also great for tourists.
