Loved this restaurant. Open kitchen. Friendly staff.. we had the favourite four, we were talked through each dish and each one was delicious! The bread with home made butter was to die for. We opted for a bottle of white wine. In hindsight I would recommend the wine pairing to complement each dish.

Food was decent and interesting if not a bit expensive. The bone marrow bread was exceptional, but some courses didn’t quite work in my experience. However, a fun experience

Epic choice, very exquisite and elaborate, small plates with very complex combinations of tastes and textures. The lemonsole with garlic is especially good, the beef tartare was probably the best I've had. And bread is better than you think a bread could be, glazed with bone marrow and complimented with creamy butter you really can't stop eating it. They should sell it to take away.

Delicious food with a cosy atmosphere and surroundings! Impeccable staff who took so much care of us. Really an overall great experience! I will defiantly come back here! Even the bread was an experience in it self and I wish I could eat it everyday for the rest of my life.

In a city with amazing dining options Marv and Ben stands out as one of my favorite meals in Copenhagen.

Did the 4 course with snacks and was extremely happy and satisfied. Absolutely delicious food with an amazing amount of creativity, balance and restraint on each dish. The staff is top notch with zero pretentiousness. I wanted to lick my plate and order several more of the dessert.

Will definitely be back next trip to CPH.

An outstanding experience. Great dishes and wine choices go hand in hand in the "almost everything" menu option.

The attitude I would easily give 4 star to this place, but the attitude was such a turn off. Turned up the first time and was scoffed at when I said I had no reservations, then turned up the 2nd time, with a reservation, and was still pretty much looked at with disgust and given a seat with my friend. Some redemption was had in the excellent and attentive waitress, and the food, though to be honest expected stuff that was not on the menu when ordering the 'Chef's Evening'. Anyway.. work on that attitude guys otherwise you will remain a Bib Gourmand place, rather than a Michelin star one

Masterfully presented tasting menu and fantastic food with new, modern takes on traditional scandinavian flavors.
However, I do think it was a little over complicated for me at times and some dishes didn't quite 'pop' or create that craving sensation.

Thanks for all of the great reviews. I recently went to Marv & Ben. Wonderful small restaurant. The service was fantastic. As a single diner it can be sometimes be uncomfortable, but the waitress was particularly nice and attentive. She removed the second chair (+1), and placed some nice art books on the other half of the table (+2). I ordered the 4 course which included amuse bouche, and then the following:
Ceviche of scallop, mandarin puree, fennel and tarragon
Salmon, sheep yoghurt, elderflower ice and cucumber
Roast Pork, Jerusalem artichoke, apple reduction & sage sauce
Buttermilk ice cream, white chocolate mousse and hazelnuts

All of these dishes were artfully prepared (gorgeous actually), and served at just the right times. If you are in Copenhagen I cannot recommend more highly. Also I did not have a reservation and they still found a spot for me.

Singularly one of best restaurant meals I have eaten. This is fine dining without pretension and we opted for the tasting menu which gave us 5 courses; each paired with a different wine (we also snuck in a cheese course). I won't list what we ate as it carries preconceptions of taste (in both senses of the word) but rest assured that you will leave very happy.

If you're on a budget you might want to look elsewhere but if you want to treat yourself to something exceptional (because you're worth it) then you won't be disappointed.
