Come back here every year for the traditional Christmas lunch. Highly recommend!

This is a tourist trap.
If you don’t care so much, the place is cute.
In a side street of the city center you will find this “Danish restaurant” that basically only serves open sandwiches (smørrebrød) for both lunch and dinner.
They have the traditional flavors like:
herring, chicken salad with bacon, potato, Fish fillet and egg.
Sandwiches are regular sized but WAY TO EXPENSIVE for what they are. Around 99kr for each, and they are not amazing.
In case you don’t care for a sit down place I recommend you try the ones in Torvehallerne instead, as they are bigger, fresher and much more delicious.response / report this review -

Amazing restaurant serving up some traditional danish cuisine. Great atmosphere, looks steeped in history when you walk in. Attentive service too. We went there for dinner and had the make you own smorbrod option, was great, learnt a bit more about Denmarks famous open faced sandwich and enjoyed a hearty meal.

The only traditional Danish restaurant I visited. Really liked the food nothing negative to say about but I cant really compare to other Danish restaurants. The salmon one was amongst the best

Great service, probably the best in all of Europe. Our server was super helpful, entertaining and welcoming. Made our meal experience fun and exceptional. If you are looking for local Danish lunch in Copenhagen, this is the place to go. Fresh ingredients, simple and ridiculously delicious.

All in all, nice food and waiters. But they forgot to peel my asparagus and acted as if it wasn't that big of a problem. It ruined an expensive dish.

Service was great. Waiter was very helpful with local food recommendations. Atmosphere was cozy. We will come back when visiting Copenhagen again.

Excellent food. Classic Danish kitchen - not exactly cheap, but not the most expensive of restaurants serving Smørrebrød either. Staff made a few slight mistakes with our orders and their attitude was a bit uneven, but overall a pleasant enough experience.
