The best restaurant experience for years!
The restaurant was fully booked, but the passionate owners offered us Icelanders a table to be able to taste their Bacalao (saltfiskur in Icelandic or klippefisk in Norwegian). Amazing is the word, don't miss this one!
For Mats and Carsten
We had dinner here on a Friday night in late-October and will remember the experience just as it was -- an absolute highlight of the trip.
The restaurateur and head chef mentioned above, beyond an exceptional knowledge of the food, wines and cheeses that they brought to the table, were incomparable hosts with a nature and a character that left us feeling we had new friends in a city we'd been in for only hours.
A menu built with painstaking care, delivered and described by the culinary craftsman themselves, the tasting menu was an unbelievable success.
We booked a table for 7pm and left the restaurant at midnight, the last of the evening's patrons to depart. Nothing to do with the pace of service or the volume of customers. It was that much fun to chat and eat, to get walked through the meal, hear stories of the restaurant's creation, that slowly and deliberately enjoying the experience was so easy that time rolled by unnoticed.
People who love what they do always deliver something that is irresistibly charming. Nothing is truer at Kebsegaarden.
Thanks to you guys! We'll be back and when we return, drinks after -- first round on us!
One of the best dinners, ever. Although a small restaurant, there is no sense of being rushed through your comfortably paced meal. The staff is informative and entertaining. The chef is flexible and readily accomodates dietary needs by adjusting a dish's ingredients. The dishes were both immensely flavorful and beautifully presented. I can easily recommend Krebsegaarden to anyone looking for a a special dining experience.
Serious player on the restaurant business in Copenhagen, this one has a unique positioning with their link to the expo behind them. Although we could argue all food is really designed according to the art right behind them. Interesting and (too?) Vocal owner will give you ample info about their dishes. Pride he is. And he is right to be.
I loved the building, the food, and the service.
Definitely do the tasting menu.
Small home feeling restaurant. Simple menu, but good quality of food.
Fantastic menu complimented by passionate Chef/owners who are determined to put a unique twist on classic Nordic cuisine. The 17-cheese medley to complete the meal was remarkable.
Excellent service, friendly staff, off-the-charts food. Prices are typically Danish. We would not recommend the crème caramel du chef because it is drowned in caramel rather than coated.
Delicious taster menu with great service- we were really well looked after, would definitely return
This was easily the best meal we had on during our week in Copenhagen. Probably one of the top 5 meals of my life. The owners are incredibly personable and make each course feel like a special gift made just for you.
Make sure you reserve your table online ahead of time. If you're smart about it, make a reservation for the next night as well.
Quite special. In fact, very special. Take the recommendations of house and enjoy. 6 stars.
Fantastic taster menu! The staff are attentive and give you great explanations of the dishes and what to look for. Pricy but worth it.
Amazing experience. The owner serves you himself and he is super nice. The food and wine is excellent and you can enjoy the art on the walls and all around the place. The dishes are very creative and if you eat enough you get one of the delicious spirits at the end of your visit
