Loved how casual and relaxed this place was. Drinks were reasonably priced too. Can't wait to return next time I'm in Copenhagen

Lovely place. Nice aura. Full of books and a quiet space to sit for coffe and think, relax or have a meeting.

Great coffee. Nice atmosphere with every wall stacked with old books on bookshelves. Shame you're not allowed to read them. Makes a beautiful change from all tge chain cafes.

Very cozy with student-friendly prices. Gets busy during lunch but otherwise pretty calm. The cafe building is a bit old so not many tables have plug-ins (so might want to charge your laptop if you're popping in to study).

Good hearty, tasty and healthy food, big portions. Good value. Not fancy. Cool vibe in something like a secondhand bookstore or old fashioned library. People working on laptops etc.
Slightly odd service, from friendly to at times rude Employees see you arrive and wait for service, but no one tells you to 1. Get a table first. 2. Order at a counter in another room. 3. You must drink their free water. (I was scolded for having my own water bottle, which I wasn't even drinking. The waitress wasn't joking either!)response / report this review -

Atmosphere is awesome. Cozy, warm, and made up of quiet nooks for privacy and larger dining areas. Just as good for food, or coffee.

Very nice place to chill and grab a coffee. It's quite big. The atmosphere is very relaxing and cozy. Would definitely recommend! Prices for the coffee are reasonable as for the central location. There are gluten free and vegan options.

The café is very nicely situated in the city center of Copenhagen. It is indeed as the name suggests filled with books which you can read while there. Sadly the majority of books is in Danish leaving international visitors a bit stranded. However, the cake and coffee are amazing. The menu also offers hearty dishes and alcoholic beverages, so you will definitely be satisfied. One thing the place is not perfect for is studying. Plugs do exist in a limited number but the ones I found were not positioned conveniently. The unisex bathrooms are nice and reasonably clean and if you have to wait there is some art exhibited outside for you to look at. All in all a great place with a few minor issues.

Cozy interior full of books, great food and big portions. It's often crowded but worth a visit. In fact, we visited it twice during our three day stay. And we're definitely coming back next time we're in Copenhagen!

One of the best coffee places in Copenhagen. It's fairly cheap and the quality of both drinks and food is great. Pleasant staff. It doesn't feel busy (even though it often is) because of all the nooks and alcoves.

This a great cafe with very tasty food. It gets VERY busy here and you order at the counter by the door. This can take ~20 minutes as the queues are very long. Worth finding a table first and then heading up once you know what you want. It is fine to just have coffee/drinks here (they serve beers), but the food is very nice and reasonably priced for the city. This place is cosy and has a great atmosphere, we spent over and hour and a half here. I would recommend visiting here for lunch.

Very crowded but a cozy atmosphere! Large menu and decent foods available. We enjoyed the experience but wouldn't make it a point to return when we come back to Copenhagen. Great spot for college students or if you're looking to get some work done at a table or read. Service is pretty good - counter service and they bring the food out to you when you're ready.
