Easily one of the grandest movie theaters in the region. It may no longer be the largest or have the comfiest seats, but it oozes class and always makes the experience special.

I don't always go to the cinema, but if I do - I go to Imperial.

The thing is - going to cinema in Copenhagen - is an expensive affair. Unlike in my country where cinemas are affordable entertainment, the price of tickets in Copenhagen is around 100kr and that's usually not enough because you need to get the popcorn, the cola and the candy and it easily adds up to 300 kr per person.

Since I'm stereotyping myself as a frugal Asian, I only go to the cinema when I want to see selected movies with some kick-ass special effects so the expenses would be worth it and Imperial is always the place to go because of:

-- the big screen
-- the great sound effects
-- the big big studio
-- more places to buy popcorn / candy so that the queue isn't that long

and it's near Vesterport st. so it's easy access for me who don't bike (ever) in Copenhagen.

We wanted our reservations for La La Land in good time so we ordered them 14days before. When we arrived they had thrown our reservations out, since they apparently do that every 7 days. Why they do that, makes no sense to me. We had made plans, and now we could either choose bad seats or yo go home. I have otherwise only had good experiences, but this system really makes no sense to me.

The best movie experience for blockbusters in Copenhagen. Just one theater, so there's always relative order, all people either coming or going at the same time. Clean with comfortable seating.

This is one of my favorite cinemas. It's really capturing the experience I want when I go to watch movies.

It's huge, and has 1002 seats. This is just awesome, as it's the real experience. In other cinemas you can sit with the experience that your home tv was bigger or better.

As there is only one screen in this cinema, you will never get the small one where you sit alone.

If you are going to the movies you might as well make it big, original and exclusive. Imperial is the best movie theater in Copenhagen if you like the classic style.
